HAITI; ABORTION

We, the American people, once again are showing our exceptional generosity by responding with an outpouring of support for the Haitian people. It’s predicted that in addition to the government, individuals and companies will contribute over $400,000,000. That’s more than ALL of the other countries combined!

The pre-existent plight of the Haitian people caused by the grinding poverty and corruption in their country, has been added to beyond measure by the death and devastation from the earthquake.

Before the earthquake, a local eye doctor had planned to join a medical team to minister to the drastic medical needs in Haiti. The trip was planned for this very week, but was cancelled because the hotel where they were going to stay was flattened. It is no more.

Unlike my friend Pat Robertson, I don’t consider the earthquake as a judgment from God. The Haitian people, despite a predominance of Christians, are rooted in a form of Obeah, involving witchcraft and sorcery. They are experiencing what Jesus said would happen when Satan is in a position of prominence: “The thief does not come except to steal, kill, and destroy. I have come that they might have LIFE, and have it more abundantly. (John 10:10);

Once again I invoke the acronym, WOB D WOD (What One Believes, Determines, What One Does [and also what happens]).

The most glaring contrast to Haiti is the United States, founded on Biblical beliefs (a fact denied by the Progressives (Liberals) among us).

No. The earthquake is not God’s judgment. It’s simply a fulfillment of a prediction Jesus made, “For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences [contagious or epidemic diseases that are virulent and devastating], and earthquakes in various places” (Matthew 24:7).

How does this relate to abortion? It relates because of the paradox that exists in the thought processes of decent, caring Americans. The response of the American people to the plight of the Haitian people is heart-warming and commendable. On the other hand, the same compassionate Americans are blithely uncaring about the plight of the most innocent and vulnerable in our own country, unborn American children.

It’s understandable.

They can see the death and devastation in Haiti, and hear the cries of anguish and pleas for help. Also, we’ve been startled by the suddenness and magnitude of the tragedy.

With abortion on the other hand, the cruel death of the unborn child is not seen, and the silent screams are not heard as the infant recoils from the swirling knives coming to tear him or her into little pieces. And there is no startling suddenness; in fact the murderous practice of abortion has gone on for so long, hidden so well, that most Americans are numbed to the slaughter. They’ve been insulated from the tragedy, the terrible circumstances of the unborn infant, because they’ve been told it’s LEGAL for a mother to submit her baby to be killed. Never mind that it’s a violent act in direct opposition to God’s will. In our growing Secularism, we tend to ignore God. After all, our Supreme Court has said that the Constitution provides a Right of Privacy (it doesn’t) so that we can kill unborn children because of a mother’s “Right to Choose”, and there is “Reproductive Freedom” (rampant sex); meanwhile ignoring the immorality of the practice, ignorance which seems to be justified because of the “Separation of Church and State”.

We Americans recognize the tragedy of death and destruction from an unexpected earthquake, but turn a deaf ear, and have over 50,000,000 times, to the silent screams of the babies.

One of the reasons I don’t believe the Haitian earthquake is a judgment from God, is that abortion would have brought the severity of God’s wrath (far worse than any earthquake) long before the fifty millionth of “My precious ones” was slaughtered in the “medical procedure” that takes place in the abortion chambers of the United States.

Our presidential administration not only wants to keep abortion legal, but also wants you and me to support the slaughter with our taxes under Obamacare. (BHO: “I’m a committed Christian!”)

That’s how I see the connection between Haiti and abortion. Tell me, please, if you think I’m off base - and why.
