FOR KIDS 15 AND YOUNGER - NEXT, MY FLOOR

Back to building my “house” of beliefs.

Where I was raised, in Philadelphia, we had a basement. In the Houston area the water table is too high, so the foundation is a concrete slab, built on the ground.

Three weeks ago I said the foundation of my “house” is Jesus. Next I’m building the flooring (it’s my “house”; I can put it together any way I want); my flooring is the Grace of God. But what is Grace?

My dictionary has several definitions for Grace that are pretty good, including “unmerited divine assistance given man”. The Bible describes Grace a little better: Grace is the unearned, unmerited, undeserved favor of God.

Can I earn it or merit it? No. And I certainly don’t deserve it. There is nothing I can do to earn it. Then how do I get it? By believing- it’s a free gift.

In the Old Testament a prophet wrote, “Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Joel 2:32); and in the New Testament Paul wrote, “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Rom 10:9). That’s Grace. Just by believing you receive Grace.

I’ve heard people ask, “Why am I here”? A similar question that I believe is even more important is, “Why did God make me”?

Why did God make us? You won’t hear the answer in government (public) schools. I heard it as a boy in Christian school: “God made me to know Him, to love Him, and to serve Him, and to be happy with Him forever”. How do I serve Him? Simply by believing.

Maybe now you can see why I have adopted the acronym WOB D WOD (What One Believes, Determines, What One Does).

If you go to a government school you’re not going to hear anything about Grace. Why? The adults who have taken over public education don’t want you to hear anything about Grace. They seem to worry that somehow that will create a national church. I think that they don’t want God or His commandments to have anything to do with them, or you - at least not in school.

There are two groups of adults most involved in determining what you will be taught, One is the N.E.A. (National Education Association), the nation’s largest teachers’ union.

The other is the A.C.L.U (America Civil Liberties Union; I think they should be called the Anti-Christian Liberties Union, because of what they have done in the last fifty years.)

The N.E.A.: My opinion, the teachers are great, but their union sucks. The N.E.A. supports poor teachers just because they are the members of the union, and they fight any system that enables parents to choose to have a better education for their kids.

They sponsor indoctrination over teaching. What do I mean? Simply this: for over twenty years, the principal item at their national convention has been the promotion of the Gay agenda.

What’s wrong with that? Plenty. Gay people deserve to be treated as well as anybody else, but both the Old and New Testaments tell us that their lifestyle, their sex life, is a perversion. For saying that, I will be accused of Hate Speech. Nonsense. I don’t hate Gays because I disapprove of their lifestyle, any more than I hate addicts because they shoot up, or alcoholics because they drink themselves silly.

Why does the N.E.A. promote the gay agenda? WOB D WOD.

The A.C.L.U.: In my opinion the A.C.L.U. has done more to lead the U.S. into serious wrong-doing, cutting off the U.S. from God’s Grace.

They originated “Separation of Church and State”, something not in the Constitution, excluding God and decency from the public sector.

Last week I wrote about the miracle of life. The A.C.L.U. is anti-life (except for murderers and terrorists). They got the Supreme Court to find a “right of privacy” that is NOT in the Constitution, to enable a mother to choose whether her baby lives or dies. They are the prime cause of over 50,000,000 unborn American children being slaughtered.

Why? WOB D WOD.
