To enter my “house” of beliefs I have chosen a key that consists of faith, hope and love.

Because I choose to believe in Jesus, the key will open my “house”. I can choose NOT to believe in Him, and the key will malfunction, without the proper mixture of faith, hope and love.

God gave us a great gift that separates us from the rest of the “animal kingdom” - free will. It sets us apart, and is also a proof of the silliness of thinking that man has evolved from a lower form of life. Can free will evolve?

With my free will, I can make choices. I can even choose to reject, or at least not accept, the One who gave me the ability to choose!

I don’t want to go to hell. I don’t think people knowingly choose to go there. But if I choose, use my free will, not to believe God and His commandments, that choice will doom me. I won’t be allowed to live in eternity with unrepentant sin and unbelief in my life, even if I’m a “good” person.

Jesus told the religious leaders of His day that they would die in their sins because they didn’t believe in Him. Was Jesus being compassionate? Compassionate or not, they’re in hell today because they didn’t choose to believe in Him.

Do you believe in hell? Jesus did; He talked about a man being in Hell (Luke 19-321). Most of us can believe that Hitler, Stalin and Mao Tse Tung are in hell, but we don’t want to believe that WE could go there. It’s our choices, however, that will determine where we spend forever. WOB D WOD (What One Believes, Determines, What One Does [or where he goes]).

A lot of you don’t know much about Hitler, Stalin or Mao, but they were as evil as any man that ever lived. Mao Tse Tung was probably the worst. He killed over 70,000,000 people. That’s as bad, or maybe worse, than Islamic terrorists.

Mao was in the news last week when he was mentioned as the favorite “philosopher” of Anita Dunn, chief of the White House news staff, and a close advisor to President Obama. Why is an admirer of a mass murderer and an enemy of freedom in such a high position?

All of this leads me to tell you a great truth for which I will probably be condemned:

Our country was founded on the Bible by men of strong character. Their “house” of beliefs was similar to the “house” I’ve built. They gave us the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, to provide the most freedom ever enjoyed by any people, ever. Their legacy to us is Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. It provided a system of government for the individual, to be protected by the government.

Here comes the condemning part:

The Obama Administration and the Liberals in Congress are betraying our Founding Fathers! They choose to believe that the government is foremost, and should have complete authority over the individual. Their choice of big government, with limited individual freedom, is as big a betrayal of our Founding fathers, as was the betrayal of Jesus by Judas.

I believe they mean well, but “the road to hell is paved with good intentions”.

Yes, our Founding Fathers left us a great legacy.

Contrast their legacy to the legacy of Liberalism:

The slaughter of 50,000,000 unborn American children; anti-Semitism; homosexual marriage; persecution of Christians; surrendering the safety of countries to dictatorships (Russia); nationalizing private corporations; using OUR money to bail out banks instead of letting them fail; pushing costly remedies to global warming that is not caused by man (it’s getting cooler, too); outrageous spending; government controlled health-care (without letting us read the bill!); ever-higher taxes; weakness before enemies; apologizing for our greatness, etc. etc.

I know it’s hard not to listen to your i-pod, or play computer games, and all the other things you like to do. But, listen up, pay attention; if the Obama Adminstration and the present Congress aren’t stopped, you’re going to be in deep doo-doo.

Make sure you have a good “house” made of Godly materials; choose the right key so you can live in it in peace.
