THE MOST PROMINENT JEW The source for what you are about to read is God’s infallible Word, the Bible.
Many will question the word “infallible”. It was a new concept to me in 1979, when I became a Born-Again believer.
It wasn’t long before I realized how intricate and accurate the Bible was, and that the 66 books, written by men, inspired by the Holy Spirit, all pertained to one thing, actually, one Person.
The Old Testament is all about the coming of the Anointed One, the Messiah; the New Testament tells Who the Anointed One is, Jesus, the Christ; and tells about His birth, ministry, betrayal, death, resurrection, and ascension.
It has taken 30 years to realize that all of human history, from Adam to us today, is centered on a Jew Who is the most prominent Jew of all time!
While spending 10 days in a hospital with pneumonia two years ago, God’s Word was revealed to me in a way that was different from what I was taught in the religion in which I was raised. The teaching was correct; it just wasn’t complete.
A verse in Genesis stood out; “And God said, ‘Let Us make man in Our image’…” (Gen 1:26). This was followed by God’s revelation of the origin of man: “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground (his body), and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life (his spirit), and man became a living soul.” (Gen 2:7)
Two things became evident:
1. If I accepted and believed those scriptures, Darwinism, man’s concept of the origin of human life, was an unscientific fraud, and
2. God knew, at that instant in eternity when He decided to create man that man would fall from Grace, the state in which man was created. God also knew that man could not redeem himself, so the plan of man’s salvation was put into being; God’s Son, the Second Person of the Trinity was the One Who would become a human and redeem God’s favorite creation.
All of the Old Testament, from Genesis 2:7 on, points to the coming of the Redeemer, the Messiah.
It tells how God established a new nation consisting of the Jews, using Abraham, a man who was imperfect but who had faith. Abraham is called “the friend of God” (James 2:23), the only man in the Bible to be called God’s friend.
By means of a blood covenant, God gave Abraham and his descendants a land of their own, Israel, as a permanent possession, forever! (Israel not only has no obligation to give away any of its land, it has no right to do so. And others have no right to demand any of Israel’s land!)
The New Testament starts out with a genealogy of the lineage of Abraham to Jesus. All of the people in the family tree of Jesus are listed. They were all Jews (Matthew 1:1-16).
Then in the book of Luke (3:23-38), there is genealogy from Jesus all the way back to Adam, proving that Adam was the first human to populate the earth, and establishing the validity of the creation of man described in Genesis 2:7.
The mother and stepfather of Jesus were Jews. Jesus went to Synagogue and studied the Old Testament. He quoted scripture often; one illustration is given in Mark 2:40-47. He grew into a man following Jewish Law, and He was called Rabbi.
When He suffered and died He was a Jew; He was a Jew when He rose from the dead and when He ascended into heaven. He is a Jew today, and will be forever.
Persecution of the Jewish people is unique in human history and has gone on for at least 3,000 years, culminating in Hitler’s holocaust, and enduring in radical Islam. Jews are resented, I believe, because they alone, of all mankind, were chosen by God, and they alone were given their own country.
In all of history Israel has been the central focus; and Israel will be at the center as history nears its temporal end.
Born Again believers strongly support Israel, recognizing Israel’s place in God’s plan of salvation, and of course, recognizing that their Savior is the most prominent Jew who ever lived!
I AM THE ALPHA, THE OMEGA, THE BEGINNING AND THE END (Rev 1:8)
