Readers of this column are well aware of my opinion of the present administration and Congress. In a nutshell, the problem is that the President and Congressional Leaders, Reid and Pelosi are trying to impose a Leftist, secular agenda on the American people, who are mainly a central to right population. Ronald Reagan proved that, with two landslide elections in which Democrats turned out in large numbers to support him.

The people don’t want an agenda that is Leftist or Secular (they go hand-in-hand). They proved that dramatically with the recent elections in Virginia, New Jersey and Massachusetts. But the Leftists and their bedfellows in the Mainstream Media are not paying attention. Why should they? They control every aspect of American society except the health care industry, and they are trying valiantly to accomplish that, even though the American people don’t want Nationalized health care.

In last week’s column, I reprinted a paragraph that appeared in the Alvin Sun-Advertiser on February 10, 2010: “It’s like the claim floated by those who keep claiming, ad nauseum, that the United States was founded as, and still is, a Christian nation.”

Last week’s column, “A Christian Nation? You Decide” proved beyond a doubt that we were founded as a Christian nation, but Secularists have taken control of the White House (“We are NOT a Christian nation!” Barack Obama), and (in alphabetical order) Congress (“We’ve lost the Iraq war [Harry Ried]), the Courts (Roe v Wade; Separation of Church and State [both enacted without a vote of the people]), Education (political correctness), Entertainment, Government employees’ unions, the Mainstream Media, Science (the scam of man-made global warming), and the Military hierarchy (“the greater tragedy [than the Fort Hood massacre] would be damage to diversity in the military”).

That’s the problem. Is there remedy?

Let me take you back to 1994, a year, like this year, of midterm elections. Clinton was in the White House, and had a Congress with a majority of Democrats in both houses. A group of Republicans, led by Newt Gingrich, developed the “Contract with America”, outlining ten steps to correct problems in the country. The Contract With America had the effect of nationalizing local elections, bringing the people together, united in trying to make a change (change they could [really] believe in).

The result? The impossible happened. Republicans, for the first time in over 40 years, captured the house and the senate! And they performed well on the items lines out in the Contract with America.

Since then Republicans have lost their way, adopting big spending habits like the Democrats, letting morality crumble, and allowing political corruptness and political correctness to become entrenched.

The result? After 1994, Republicans have lost elections, ignoring the successes of Ronald Reagan, even declaring the “era of Reagan is over”.

There is a remedy on the horizon, another contract, a “Contract FROM America”. This contract is not coming from the Democrat or Republican Parties, but from the people, Democrats, Independents, and Republicans who are sick about what Secularism has done to our country.

The Contract From America has come from the T.E.A. (Taxed Enough Already) Party movement. Make no mistake. The new Ronald Ragan will emerge from lawmakers who adopt the principles in the new Contract, and lead the people in taking back the United States from the Secularists.

There are 22 items in the new Contract, and the plan is to have the public vote on 10 of the 22, which will comprise the Contract that will be unveiled at the next National T.E.A. Party event on April 15th.

The Contract From America is exciting; it’s a concrete method of combating the Secularist agenda.
